AB  - Frontal scalp hematoma is a rare side effect that can occur following procedures on the scalp. The possible etiology behind the occurrence of this hematoma might be a puncture to the blood vessels in the scalp. This case describes a 27-year-old male who developed a hematoma over the lateral frontal region seven days after platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and one month after hair transplantation surgery. Aspiration of the fluid was done and compression bandage was applied following which the hematoma subsided.Hematoma can occur after PRP therapy. Topical minoxidil may be a factor in causation of hematoma. Dermatologists and trichologists should be aware of this possible side effect as it can cause discomfort and apprehension for the affected patients.
