Identifying what has the best chance of being an effective treatment for an individual patient is an important first step in overall positive outcome and patient satisfaction. Talking to our patients and getting a full history in addition to the genetic picture offered by TrichoTestTM can help guide us away from medications that are likely to show no efficacy toward those that have a better chance for a positive outcome. An individualized treatment plan can help us build trust with patients and motivate them to have the patience for the time it takes for some therapies to work. This is an evolving field of study in the treatment of hair loss that will hopefully result in better customization of treatment plans for our patients.
