Abstract

This article evaluates 18 patients (2 male and 16 females), 19-35 years of age, with the clinical diagnosis of trichotillomania (TTM). They were followed monthly, and labs done every two months. The nutritional treatment is outlined specifically with explanations given for dosage and frequency of administration. At four months of treatment, the TTM-affected areas showed hair regrowth with trichoscopy. Numerous references are quoted for documentation of various nutrients affecting psychiatric behavior in a positive manner.
