Abstract
In this edition we look at some hair loss issues from a dermatopathology point of view. Dermatopathology encompasses the diagnosis of patients through examination of skin biopsies and the study of the pathogenesis of skin disease at the cellular level. Although by and large we diagnose androgenetic alopecia without skin biopsies, there are many situations where it is useful to know the hair and skin pathological findings in order to make a diagnosis. Here we will get opinions from Dr. David Whiting on some conditions that we have all come across and the situations in which it is safe to transplant.
